Congratulations to Sarkis Keshishian, Winner of Mega Millions IX (*$160,418)

The ninth installment of the Mega Millions is in the books, and Sarkis Keshishian has emerged as the victor! After the final four players made a deal, Keshishian slowly rose from the second shortest stack to the top. Runner-up Linh Le had the advantage over Keshishian until he scored a double up when his Queen-Jack knocked off the Ace-Seven of Le, and Keshishian never looked back. Congratulations to Sarkis Keshishian, who survived a stacked final table here at The Bicycle Casino.  For his win, Keshishian will walk away with over $160,000, a beautiful trophy, a banner in the tournament room here, and his face on a billboard for the next month, honoring his victory today! Congratulations to Keshishian, as well as all the players at the final table today!

Linh Le finishes 2nd (184,580*) in Mega Millions IX

Linh Le
Linh Le moved in for his remaining (~20-million) chips and was quickly called by Sarkis Keshishian and Linh was at risk

Keshishian: [Ah][Js]

It was a photo finish as the flop came [8s][7h][2d].  The turn gave Linh additional outs when a [6c] came, now any king, ten, nine, or five would give Le the pot.  It was not meant to be as the river came the [Ad]!  As a result of Sarkis' pair of aces, Linh Le became the runner-up finisher beating out 6,099 players on his way to the lion share of the cash prize, taking home $184,580 for his efforts!

*A deal was made between the final four.
Cody Shedd
After what seems like a miracle run of cards, it looked as if Cody Shedd was destined to take it all the way.  His run good ended abruptly all-in pre-flop as we caught up with the action, he had moved-in, heads-up, for his tournament life!

Shedd: [As][Qc]
Keshishian: [Jd][Jc]

The board ran out king high and Sarkis took in the pot putting his at 35+million in chips, while Cody Shedd had to take consolation with his 3rd place finish, surviving 6,098 other players for the largest live score of his poker career, $93,715!

Jack Duong finishes in 4th (118,574*) in Mega Millions IX

*A deal was made with the remaining four players
Jack Duong
After striking a deal four ways, Jack Duong, was the first player to finishes after receiving some of the coldest hands of the tournament.  He initially doubled up Cody Shedd, when Jack's A,5 lost to [Ad][4d] on a two diamond board and a four turned.  The last hand was the end of the road for Duong's tournament, as the chips went all-in pre-flop versus his nemisis, Cody.

Duong: [Ks][Kh]
Shedd: [Ad][Ac]

The flop came an [As] as Cody made top set and Jack Duong was drawing slim as the board ran out.  As a result, Jack finishes in 4th place beating out 6,097 players winning $118,574* for his biggest score of his tournament poker career!

A deal is struck between final four during Mega Millions IX final table

Total prize money still on table: $501,556

Massoud "Mike" Eskandari finishes 5th ($51,765) of Mega Millions IX; 4 remaining players are discussing a deal

Mike Eskandari
After several brutal beats, aces full losing to quads & set over set, Massoud "Mike" Eskandari run during the Mega Millions IX ended in anti-climatic style.  We pick up the action as it was folded around to Mike in the small blind who moved all-in for the rest of his chips.  The big blind of Linh Le who snap called and Massoud was at risk for his tournament life!

Eskandari: [Qs][8h]
Le: [Ac][Kc]

The flop was the end for Mike as it came [Jc][Tc][3c], and the turn were irrelevant as Linh flopped the nut flush and Massoud "Mike" Eskandari is the Mega Millions IX 5th place finisher defeating 6,096 players on his way to $51,765 payday!

The players are now on a 4-way break discussing a deal.

Massoud Eskandari Crippled by Sarkis Keshishian

Did we mention that there were some sick coolers at this table? Well we just saw another one that may put the last one to shame. The board had completed [As][8h][8s][8d][7d], and Massoud Eskandari bet out 1.5 million. His lone opponent, Sarkis Keshishian, moved all in, and Eskandari snap called.

Eskandari: [Ac][Ad]
Keshishian: [Qc][8c]

Don't adjust your computer screens. That is the nut full house versus quad eights.  "That's so sick. That's so sick," is all Eskandari could mumble as he walked around the floor. The staff counted out the chips, and it was determined that Eskandari had less than 500,000. Since then, he has tripled up, and doubled up, meaning that he has jumped up to 2.5 million, or five big blinds when they return from break.

Alex Hoang Eliminated in 6th Place ($45,160)

Coolers are a part of the game in poker. Some coolers are spots that you can get away from but you just can't. Some are so bad that only Phil Hellmuth can get away with them. And then there are Antarctic coolers that no one will ever get away with. Alex Hoang was just on the wrong side of that cooler, and he has shockingly been eliminated in 6th place.

We caught up with the action on the flop between Hoang and Linh Le. That flop read [3h][Ad][Qh], and Hoang check called a bet of 525,000 from Le. The [7h] came on the turn, and Hoang checked to Le again, who fired out 950,000. Hoang responded with a check raise to 3.9 million, and Le made the call to see the [7d] come on the river.

Hoang weighed his options, then assembled a hefty bet of 5.5 million. Le thought for only about 10 seconds before moving all in, and Hoang quickly made the call!

Hoang: [7h][3s]
Le: [Qc][3d]

It was a boat over boat cooler for Hoang, who was in disbelief as he made his exit. Meanwhile, with that pot, Le is holding half the chips in play.

Tournament Director Mo Fathipour Talks The 25 Seat Guaranteed WSOP Main Event Satellite!

The Winnin' o' the Green may be wrapping up Saturday, but The Bike is already making big plans for their upcoming tournament series. Most notably, The Bike will be offering a satellite in from June 7th-18th where they will be giving out 25 Guaranteed Seats to the WSOP Main Event this summer. The best part? The buy-ins start as low as $75! That's right. You could turn $75 into the guaranteed $10 million first place prize at the WSOP this summer. And it gets even better! If one of the players who earned their seats through The Bike wins the event, the Bike will throw in an addition $1 million for first! You can learn more details by watching the video below.

Sarkis Keshishian Doubles Through Massoud Eskandari

We caught up with the action on the river, with the board reading a wet [Kd][6c][7c][10h][9h].  Eskandari fired out a million into the pot of four million, and Keshishian responded by moving all in for 4.9 million total. Eskandari went deep into the tank, saying at one point, "This is so sick I had you crushed until that river. I let you get there." Eskandari shook his head, thought for a few more moments, then said "nice hand I call."

Keshishian tabled [9d][9c] for a rivered set, and Eskandari shook his head before showing [7c][7s] for an inferior set. That blow knocked Eskandari down to 5.65 million, while Keshishian is now up over 15 million.

Ha Diep finishes in 7th Place ($39,100) of Mega Millions IX

We caught up with the action in a three way pot on the flop, which read [Jc][7h][2d].  It check to Diep, who shoved his short stack all in. When it folded to Alex Hoang, he quickly made the call, having Diep covered.

Diep: [As][8s]
Hoang: [Kh][Js]

Hoang's top pair was well out in front, and Diep could only win with an ace or running straight cards. The [7s] left him with little options, and the [10s] on the river ended things for him.

Seven Handed Updated Chip Counts at Break

The seven remaining players have just taken their first break of the day. Linh Le has taken a good sized chip lead, as he has the field covered by over 10 million chips. Here's the full breakdown.

1. Linh Le- 28,525,000
2. Massoud Eskandari- 17,525,000
3. Jack Duong- 13,050,000
4. Cody Shedd- 10,925,000
5. Alex Hoang- 10,250,000
6. Sarkis Keshishian- 9,875,000
7. Ha Diep- 7,075,000

Collin Wheeler finishes in 8th Place ($33,040) of Mega Millions IX

Collin Wheeler's day from hell has come to an end. Wheeler started the day second in chips, but he kept running into monster hands all day, leading to a quit exit for the young player. Wheeler raised it up under the gun, and Sarkis Keshishian reraised to 950,000.  Action folded around to Massoud Eskandari in the big blind, and he flat called the three bet. Wheeler shoved all in, and Keshishian tanked for over two minutes before reluctantly folding. However, Eskandari quickly called.

Eskandari: [Qc][Qd]
Wheeler: [Js][Jh]

Wheeler was once again dominated, and he was never able to catch up, as the board ran down [Ad][3d][5h][6d][6h], putting an end to Wheeler's day, and adding a huge boost to Eskandari's stack.

Cody Shedd Doubles Through Collin Wheeler

It hasn't been a good start of the day for Collin Wheeler. He started the day second in chips, but after recently doubling Cody Shedd up, he is now one of our short stacks. Wheeler started the action by raising to 550,00 in early position, and it folded around to Shedd in the blind. He peaked down at his cards, thought it over for a bit, then announced a raise to 1.7 million. Wheeler quickly moved all in, and Shedd called even quicker.

Shedd: [Jd][Jc]
Wheeler: [10h][10s]

Short of flopping a set, Shedd couldn't have asked for a much better flop, [Kd][8d][7d].  Wheeler was now drawing dead to the ten of clubs, and he wouldn't get that card, as the board completed [4h] and [3d]. Shedd secured the double up to over 13 million while Wheeler is now one of our short stacks.

Linh Le Doubles Through Collin Wheeler

Linh Le has built up quite the aggressive image over the last few days, and that image paid off when he got max value from his aces, earning an easy double up through Collin Wheeler. The two got in a preflop raising war that saw all of Le's chips in the middle. His aces were dominating the [Ac][Kh] of Wheeler, and the board brought no sweats, coming down [Jd][2d][6c][Js][Qd], giving Le the double, and knocking about seven million off of Wheeler's stack.

Michael Katz finishes in 9th Place ($27,535) of Mega Millions IX

Michael Katz came into the final table as the severe short stack with just over 10 big blinds, so we figured he would be getting it in quick. Sure enough, he did just that on one of the first hands of the day, shoving all in from middle position. Action folded to Ha Diep in the small blind, and he tanked for about a minute before making the call.

Katz: [Kh][Js]
Diep: [As][7s]

An ace popped right in the window for Diep, but it wasn't all bad for Katz, as the flop came down [Ad][4c][10h].  Katz was hoping for a queen now, but he wouldn't get it, as the board completed [3c] and [5d], giving Diep the pot, and making Katz our first final table causality.

Cards in the Air Mega Millions IX Final Table!

The title says it all. Play has gotten underway today with the blinds currently at 75,000-150,000. By the end of the day, someone will walk away with more than a quarter of a million dollars! Find out who by following here, or check out the live stream at liveatthebike.com!

Mega Millions Final Table IX Seat 9: Alex Hoang (20,000,000)

And last, but not least, we have our chip leader Alex Hoang. Hoang laid below the radar for much of this tournament, before exploding with two tables left, going from a below average stack to chip leader after knocking out Yosef Fox and Steven Mira. Hoang comes into today with 20 million, and will be the odds on favorite when we get underway shortly. According to Hendon Mob, the 46-year-old has only $2,425 in live tournament earnings, meaning that he's already shattered the best cash of his career.

Mega Millions Final Table IX Seat 8: Sarkis Keshishian (9,125,000)

Sarkis Keshishian is making his second Mega Millions final table in as many years, after finishing 9th in the March installment last year for $18,000, his biggest live cash to date. Keshishian also cashed in the WPT Legends of Poker Main Event last year, finishing 69th for $7,050. This is Keshishian's fifth cash of 2014, including another cash in January's Mega Millions for $1,000.

Mega Millions Final Table IX Seat 7: Linh Le (9,550,000)

Linh Le is a 26-year-old player from Lake Charles, Louisiana who comes into this final table with just under 10 million in chips. Le says that he rarely plays tournaments, and usually just plays cash games. He also lists his proudest accomplishment as finding his eventual girlfriend at a 2-5 game.

Le has been playing poker for three years, and cites his knockout of Chris Tolone, QQ>JJ, on the final table bubble as his breakout hand. Le says that if he manages to win today, he will celebrate by buying a dog!

Mega Millions Final Table IX Seat 6: Ha Diep (6,000,000)

Ha Diep is a 33-year-old poker player who comes into the final table with six million in chips. Diep won a $1,000 Legends of Poker Event in 2006 for over $136,000, and he can eclipse that career high with a second place showing today.  This is Diep's second straight cash in the Mega Millions, as he finished 154th in the Mega Millions in January.

Mega Millions Final Table IX Seat 5: Collin Wheeler (16,850,000)

Collin Wheeler may be the youngest player at the table at just 22 years old, but where he lacks in experience, he makes up for in chips. Wheeler will bring the second biggest stack into today's play with just under 17 million, and he will be looking to complete a dream run today.

Wheeler is a part time poker player who plays a different game for a living: golf. Wheeler hails from Stevenson Ranch, California, and this is only his second time at The Bike, and his first time playing a Mega Millions tournament. Wheeler would like to thank his crew for always being there, inlcuding Anfo, Rock, Cheese, Russo, Chad, and Wes.

Mega Millions Final Table IX Seat 4: Massoud Eskandari (8,575,000)

Massoud Eskandari, nicknamed CBK (Comeback Kid), has been grinding the LA poker circuit for almost a decade now, and the 53 year-old will certainly be one of the local favorites at this final table.  Eskandari got close to a big Bicycle Casino Final Table in 2011 when he finished 14th, after his pocket kings were cracked by the pocket jacks of eventual winner Will Failla.

Speaking of bad beats, Eskandari has this message for his friends and followers: "I will do my best not to let you guys down. Thanks for all the support, and if there is no bad eat, I will win it!" Eskandari has plans to go straight to Florida for the $5 million guaranteed after this, but he plans on taking a nice vacation after if he wins today!

Mega Millions Final Table IX Seat 3: Michael Katz (2,250,000)

Poker Pro Michael Katz comes into the final table as the short stack, but you wouldn't want to count Katz out. Katz has amassed over $800,00 in live earnings since 2006, and with a second place showing, Katz will lock up his biggest live cash.

The 30-year-old New Jersey native is engaged, and has said that meeting new people is his favorite part about playing live poker. Thought Katz comes in with just over 10 big blinds, he will be a dangerous force if he is able to score a double up or two!

Mega Millions Final Table IX Seat 2: Cody Shedd (4,925,000)

Cody Shedd, perhaps known better by his online handle CalBandGreat, may only be 34 years old, but it's hard to argue that he isn't the most experienced player at this final table. Shedd has over $200,000 in live earnings, but it's on the online felts that Shedd has made most of his money. Shedd won a $1,000 FTOPS in 2007 for $208,000, and has had several other huge online scores.

Shedd has been playing poker for 15 years, though he isn't a full time poker pro. Shedd is also the General Manager of AFTCO, American Fishing Tackle Co.  Shedd says that if he wins today, we will go to work on Friday, then celebrate with fans this weekend.

Mega Millions Final Table IX Seat 1: Jack Duong (14,825,000)

Jack Duong knows plenty about making big final tables here at The Bicycle Casino. Just two weeks ago, Duong finished fifth in the WSOPC Main Event for $58,025, his largest cash to date, and he can eclipse that with a 4th place showing today.

The 24-year old South Plainfield New Jersey native, nicknamed "The Kid", has enjoyed immense success in his first Mega Millions here at The Bike. Duong stormed to the top of the chip counts yesterday, and comes into the final table third in chips.  Duong would like to thank Eugene, Crystal, his parents, and everyone that has supported him and believed in him.
