On one of the first hands of the final table, Chris Grigorian shoved all in from under the gun. Next to act, Nima Shariatmaderi shoved all in for a million more. Everyone else folded, and we were off to the races.
The race wouldn't last long, as the flop came [Jh][8s][2s]. Shariatmaderi wouldn't catch any miracle runout, and it knocked him down to just five big blinds.
He would shove on the very next hand, and it would fold around to Grigorian in the big blind. He made the call, only to see the bad news when the cards were tabled.
The board wouldn't help either player, keeping Shariatmaderi in the lead. Grigorian shipped the double over, though he was still up about 500,000 on the total exchange.
