JC Tran Eliminated in 3rd Place ($217,040)

Nothing had gone JC Tran's way over the last hour, as he had spiraled down to the short stack before moving all in preflop. Phil Hellmuth made the call to put him at risk.

Tran: [Ad][10s]
Hellmuth: [Kh][Qh]

The flop came down [Kd][Jh][5s], giving Hellmuth top pair, and shooting him out to the lead. Tran could still win with an ace or a queen, but he lost a couple of outs on the [4h] turn, as Hellmuth picked up a flush draw. The [2d] completed the board, and Hellmuth scored the knockout.

This gets us to heads up play, with Art Papazyon and Hellmuth virtually even in chips. Papazyan holds 11.8 million to the 11 million of Hellmuth.

There will be a short break for interviews before heads up play starts.
