On Saturday afternoon, Zhaolei Xu came out on top of a four-way deal, en route to a victory in event #13, a $240 no-limit hold’em tournament. Xu topped a field of 628 players to take home $20,032.
Xu is no stranger to success in Southern California. Last December, Xu finished seventh in a $365 no-limit hold’em World Series of Poker Circuit event here at the Bicycle Casino.
Xu didn’t come into the final table with the chip lead, but quickly found himself at the top of the pack. Xu eliminated Stephen Braverman in seventh place to gain momentum and take over the chip lead. From there, Xu dominated the final table and when the deal discussions began, Xu held the chip lead, which earned him the most money in the deal and the title.
