Some of the Notable Big Stacks In the Main Event

We have about two and a half hours left in play today, and some of the familiar faces in the room are starting to separate themselves from the pack. Valentin Vornicu, who took down the WSOP Circuit Main Event here in December of 2015 for just under $200,000, is the current chip leader with nearly 200,000. Skip Huber, fresh off of his 9th place finish at the Mega Millions on Thursday, is currently in second. Scroll down for a few more big name big stacks, and be sure to come back in the morning to find out if they are able to make it through to Day 2!

Valentin Vornicu - 190,000

Skip Huber - 170,000

Michael Kamran - 160,000

Barry Hutter - 135,000

Ray Qartomy - 105,000

What's on Tap: Final Day 1 of the Legends Main Event

Tomorrow is the final Day 1 starting session here at the 2017 Legends of Poker, and if history is any indication, it should be by far the biggest of the three flights. The cards will be in the air for that session at 12 PM, and players will be starting with 30,000 in chips.

At 2 PM, we will have another $350 Big HORSE session. Today's flight drew just 47 players, and we could end up looking at an overlay in this event, as the finals will be on Day 2. Registration for that flight will be open until 5 PM.

Lastly, we have another $1,100 buy-in event, but this one isn't a Survivor event. Rather, it is a turbo, re-entry event, with 20-minute levels, and registration open for just over two hours. Players will be starting with 20,000 in chips, and it will be a one day event.

By the Numbers: $1,100 Survivor Event

The $1,100 Survivor Event was a big success with a total of 116. The final 12 spots will be in the money, but only the top 11 will be taking home the first place prize of $10,000. This is the final Survivor event of the Legends of Poker, but they will be back in our October series, the Big Poker for October!

1-11th. $10,000
12th. $6,000

Some of the players who have already hit the rail today include Alex Masek, Barry Greenstein, Tony Dunst, Randy Ohel, Lee Markholt, and Osmin Darodon. Below you will see the top five stacks as play will be paused for the one hour dinner break. Cards will be back in the air at 7:30 PM.

By the Numbers: $350 Big HORSE Flight

The first $350 Big HORSE flight drew a field of 47 players, meaning that the top 7 players will be joining the 22 finalists so far. Tomorrow at 2 PM, there will be another $350 flight. The finals are on Tuesday, so make sure you don't miss out on it!

1-7th. $450 + Advance to Day 2

Cards in the Air: $350 Flight of the Big HORSE Event

Today we are upping the buy-in for our $100,000 Guaranteed Big HORSE Event, going from $240 to $350. That means that for this event, the top 15% will be cashing for $450 and moving on to the Day 2 finals on Tuesday. Registration will be open until 5 PM today, so if you love Mixed Games, come on down and join us at the Legends of Poker!
