The Final Table is Set With JC Tran Leading the Way

David "Doc" Sands looked like he would be setting himself up for a good stack at the final table when he got his pocket kings in preflop against JC Tran's Ace-Queen, but Tran caught two queens on the flop, and rivered quads to increase his chip lead. Below you will see the final chip stacks for everyone who will be coming back tomorrow at 4 PM for the finals.

Seat 1: DJ Alexander - 2,730,000

Seat 2: Adam Swan - 1,655,000

Seat 3: Marvin Rettenmaier - 1,225,000

Seat 4: Art Papazyan - 6,005,000

Seat 5: JC Tran - 8,295,000

Seat 6: Phil Hellmuth - 2,940,000

Jared Griener Eliminated in 8th Place ($57,190)

After a raise and a call in front of him, Jared Griener moved all in from the small blind for 1.2 million. JC Tran was in the big blind, and he called the all in. The other two players folded, and the cards hit their backs.

Griener: [8h][8c]
Tran: [Qh][Qc]

The board ran down [Ac][9h][3c][9d][Jh], and Tran scored the knockout to increase his chip lead, while Griener falls short of making another WPT final table this year.

Congratulations to Javid Javani, Winner of the Big HORSE Event

After Craig Chait bowed out in third place, Javid Javani and Rick Muniz agreed to a deal heads up that saw Javani take home the lion's share of the prizepool, along with the trophy. Javani will take home $28,135, while Muniz earned $25,535 for this efforts.

Congratulations to both players on their impressive runs. Thanks for playing at the Bicycle Casino!

Updated Counts From the Main Event

Rick Muniz Leads the Final Three in Big HORSE

With a break in the action in the Main Event, we took a walk over to the Big HORSE Event, where they are now three handed. Rick Muniz holds a nice lead with 4.7 million. Second right now is Javid Javani, who has 2.9 million, and the short stack is former Legends of Poker finalist Craig Chait, who has 575,000. That is much better than the 6,000 that he was crippled down to not too long ago however.

Be sure to stay tuned to find out who takes down this Big HORSE title!

Osmin Dardon Eliminated in 9th Place ($43,570)

Osmin Dardon, who started Day 3 as the chip leader and was one of the bigger stacks for much of the day, saw most of his chips go to Jared Griener, when Griener had kings against Dardon's Ace-King. Dardon would hang around for a bit before his final chips went to chip leader JC Tran.

On the final hand, Dardon got his money in on the turn of a board showing [Ah][8d][4h][9d]. Dardon had [9h][5h] for a pair and flush draw, but he was well behind the [8h][8c] of Tran. The river bricked out, and Dardon was sent to the rail.
