Congratulations to Michael Copeland, Winner of the WPT500 ($181,950)

Heads up play lasted just a few minutes, as Jorge Pineda shoved all in for his final 10 million and change preflop holding [10c][9h]. Michael Copeland called with [Ah][Jh], and the flop of [Ad][10s][8c] gave both players a pair, but kept Copeland in the lead.

The [8s] turn meant that Pineda could only win with another ten now, but the river was the [4s] instead. Pineda will take home over $120,000 for his efforts, but the title, trophies, and $181,950 are going home with Michael Copeland, who led this final table wire-to-wire.

Congratulations to Copeland on his huge victory, and thanks to everyone who helped to make this event so huge! Don't forget that the Legends of Poker rolls on through the end of the week with the Quantum Milions Event, so make sure you don't miss out on all the action!

Aaron Massmer Eliminated in 3rd Place ($87,565)

Aaron Massmer open shoved on the button with [7h][4h], and Michael Copeland put him at risk holding [Ad][8d]. The hand was all but over after the flop came down [ Ac][9d][3h], and while the [2d] gave Massmer some slim hope, the river wouldn't provide the miracle.

This leaves us heads up between the two big stacks to start the day, Michael Copeland and Jorge Pineda.

Cards in the Air: Afternoon Quantum Millions Flight

The Quantum Millions Event rolls on with another afternoon flight here on this Monday. The buy-in remains $350, and the top 12%  will be moving on to the finals on Saturday. Registration is open until 7 PM tonight. Good luck everyone!

Jose Torres Eliminated in 4th Place ($65,330)

Jose Torres had less than ten big blinds when he shoved on the button with [Kh][6c], and in the small blind, Aaron Messmer made the call with [Ah][Jh]. The flop of [Qc][Jd][10d] gave Messmer mid pair, but also brought an open ended straight draw for Torres. The board would finish out [4c] and [8c], giving the hand to Messmer.

With that, we are three handed. Here is how they currently stack up at the 200,000-400,000 level.

Michael Copeland - 25,000,000
Aaron Messmer - 15,000,000
Jorge Pineda - 8,800,000

By the Numbers: Tuesday Morning Quantum Millions Flight

The first flight today drew a crowd of 112 players, meaning the top 13 players will be moving on to the finals on Saturday. The second flight today will be starting up at 4 PM today. Good luck all!

1-13. Advance to Day 2 + $500

Erik Nason Eliminated in 5th Place ($49,270)

Erik Nason moved all in for 4.65 million from under the gun, and Aaron Messmer put him at risk with [9s][9h]. The flop of [9d][6c][8s] gave Messmer top set, but Nason was kept alive by a gutshot straight draw. However, the [6d] on the turn ended the hand, giving Messmer an unbeatable full house.

Just like that, we are down to the final four. Stay tuned to find out who wins the title!

Fresh Counts On the First Break

Blinds: 150,000-300,000 Average: 10,300,000

Michael Copeland - 22,500,000
Jorge Pineda - 12,375,000
Aaron Messmer - 7,425,000
Erik Nason - 4,650,000
Jose Torres - 3,200,000

Luke Nguyen Eliminated in 6th Place ($37,565)

The eliminations keep on coming at this final table, as we are already down to five players on the first break. Luke Nguyen was the next to hit the rail, after losing a flip preflop. Nguyen held [6c][6d], while chip leader Michael Copeland had the overcards, [Kh][Js]. The flop was clean for Nguyen, but a jack on the turn flipped the script, giving Copeland the lead, and leaving Nguyen drawing to two outs.

He wouldn't hit either of those, and he was sent packing in sixth place.

Sanjay Mayekar Eliminated in 7th Place ($28,960)

Chip leader Michael Copeland lost a good chunk of his stack after shipping double ups over to Sanjay Mayekar and Aaron Messmar, but he just got most of them back when he was able to finish Mayekar off the second time around.

On his final hand, Mayekar would get his final 4.3 million in preflop holding [Ad][Qs], but he was dominated by the pocket kings of Copeland. A third king on the flop left Mayekar drawing to running cards for a straight, but Copeland filled up on the turn to leave him drawing dead.

This gets us down to the final six players now. Stay tuned for some fresh counts to be posted shortly.

Some Snapshots From the Quantum Millions Flight

We spotted plenty of former big winners in the field over in the Quantum Millions flight, which is nearing 100 players with half an hour left in registration. Hyung Cho finished on top of a three way chop in the $200,000 Guaranteed event to start the series, while two time defending champion of the WSPOC Monster Stack Event Hermilo Vargas is also here.

Scroll down for those photos, and a few more!

Travis Tachibana Eliminated in 8th Place ($22,570)

After getting a couple of shoves through earlier in the final table, Travis Tachibana was once again all in for just under two million preflop holding [Ad][4c]. Once again, Jorge Pineda woke up with a monster after the shove, this time pocket queens, and the ladies would hold true on a run out of [4d][3d][Kh][Js][9d].

This leaves us with seven players, and Jorge Pineda is inching closer to the mammoth stack of Michael Copeland.

Alexander Beleson Eliminated in 9th Place ($17,790)

Alexander Beleson came into the day with just 11 big blinds, and he would find himself all in early holding [Ac][Qs]. Unfortunately for him, Jorge Pineda woke up with [Ah][As] behind him, and moved all in over the top. The case ace would come on the flop, and Beleson was drawing dead by the turn.

This leaves us with just eight players.
