Next Pay Jump Reached

The latest round of bustouts saw Tom Braband (22nd), Scott Wilson (23rd), and Matthew Elsby (24th), all taking home $8,805.

Shant Marashlian maintains his chip lead as the only player over ten million, but two players are making a recent charge: local regular Behzad Javadzadeh, and last year's Legends of Poker fourth place finisher DJ Alexander. Both players are now over six million.

Nearly 200 Players in the $75,000 Guaranteed

We are off to a great start in our $75,000 Guaranteed Event, with 188 players currently entered. Registration is still open until 4 PM, so we should easily pass that number, and could break the six figure clip when the dust settles.

Remember that this exact same tournament will be running on Friday at 11:30 AM, so be sure to use that as a great bankroll booster before WPT500 comes to town!

Latest Round of Bustouts and Current Big Stacks

The first three bustouts since the 27 person redraw were Yehonatan Levi (27th), Richard Kim (26th), and David Yoon (25th). These three players all took home $7,540 for their efforts.

Local regular Tigran Abgaryan vaulted into second place with about 6.6 million after eliminating Michael Elsby when Abgaryan's Ace-King outran the pocket jacks of Elsby. Start of day chip leader Danny Wong is holding strong with six million, but the day has been owned by Shant Marashlian so far. He started the day second in chips, and has since doubled that stack, holding a massive lead with 11.2 million.

Danny Wong Leads the Final 32, Defending Champion Ari Engel Alive and Well

After 14 levels of play today, only 32 players are still in contention for the latest Mega Millions Event. The player in the pole position is well known local pro Danny Wong, who bagged up 5,750,000. Ed Ho is nipping at his heels with 5,140,000, and appears to be in second place going to tomorrow.

The story of the night, however, is defending champion Ari Engel. Engel has been above average the entire day, and that hasn't changed now, as he bagged up 3,695,000. If Engel is able to make the final table, he will be the first former Mega Millions champion to make the final table a second time.

The action picks up again tomorrow at 1 PM, where we will play down to a final table. Good luck to the remaining 32 players, and good night from the Bicycle Casino!
