The second starting session of the day here in Mega Millions XXI saw 131 players come out. The final 16 players will all be locking up at least $500 tonight, but only the top eight will be upping that cash to $800, along with earning a ticket to the Day 2 finals next week.

The Morning Flight Has Hit the Money

Over in the 11:30 AM flight, we have reached the final 17 players, which means all of them are $500 richer! Still alive in this field are Greg Poehler, Harry Arutyunyan, former Mega Millions champion Phuoc Nugyen, and LOP Player of the Series points leader Quoc Le, who is one of the biggest stacks in the field at the moment with about 200,000 in chips.

Congratulations to all players in the money tonight. They will continue to play until there are just eight players remaining.

What's Coming Up: Thursday, August 22nd

Tomorrow we wrap up the Day 1 qualifying sessions for our $100,000 Guaranteed HORSE Event. At 2 PM, the games of choice will be Pot Limit Omaha and Big O. Registration for that flight will be open until 4:10 PM, and the buy-in is $350.

Of course, book ending that flight are our two Mega Millions XXI sessions. Those $160 flights will be starting up at 11:30 AM and 4 PM, with three hours of registration and re-entry available in those. The top 6% will be advancing to the finals, and taking home $800.

The Prizepool is Now Over Half a Million Dollars

We checked with the floor staff to get an updated number on the overall prizepool for you guys. Taking into account the morning session today, we have officially cross over the half a million mark, as the prizepool is currently at $515,000 and growing!

We still Day 1 sessions going through until Monday, and of course, players will be buying in directly for $3,700 next Tuesday during the Day 2 finals, so we expect to once again soar past the $1 million mark in this fantastic tournament.

If you can't make it out for this afternoon's session, be sure to come out tomorrow for either the 11:30 AM or 4 PM session. You won't want to miss out on these Day 2 finals!

Time for a Break in the Afternoon Session

In the late day Mega Millions session, the 74 players who are currently entered are taking their first break of the evening. Registration for this flight will be open until 7 PM tonight, so you still have plenty of time to come on down and join us.

Today's $100,000 Guaranteed flight drew a crowd of 71 split pot players. The final nine will be taking home $600, and a ticket to next week's Day 2 finals. The last Day 1 session of the week will be played out tomorrow, where the games will be Pot Limit Omaha/Big O.

Sean Yu is fresh off of his 7th place showing in the $500,000 Guaranteed Event last week, while David Brookshire is looking to double qualify, after bagging up 449,000 in yesterday's Omaha 8 flight.

The first of two starting sessions here on this Mega Millions Wednesday morning saw a crowd of 141 players come out. The final 17 players will finish in the money tonight, with the top eight advancing to the finals next Tuesday.
