By the Numbers: Tuesday Afternoon Session

The second flight of the day, and the fourth of the tournament, saw a crowd of 82 players come out. The final 10 players will be moving on to the Day 2 finals on Friday.

We are now halfway through the qualifying period of this event, and so far, we have just over $66,000 in the prize pool. We have four more flights over the next two days, and players will be buying in directly on Friday for $1,400, so we should see the prize pool go well past that number.

Your next chance to qualify will be tomorrow morning at 11:30 AM. Good luck everyone!

1-10th. Advance to Day 2 + $400

Play Ends in the Morning Session with Chris Conn Leading the Way

After just under eight hours of play, we have wrapped things up here in the opening flight of the day. Leading the way is Chris Conn, who bagged up 247,000. Gladys Landegger also bagged a healthy stack of 190,500, after she put a bad beat on Sohale Khalili. Landegger got her chips in holding pocket queens, but she was well behind the pocket kings of Khalili. However, a lady came on the turn  to give Landegger a winning set, and she would only add to her stack from there.

Khalili was able to bounce back from that bad beat, and still bagged a decent stack of 92,000. Be sure to come back tomorrow for a full updated list of survivors for this event after two starting days, and remember that you have until 8 PM to enter tonight's flight, so don't miss it!

What's Coming Up: Wednesday, October 2nd

We have two more starting sessions coming up for you guys in the $150,000 Guaranteed Event, as we cross over the halfway point of the qualifying sessions. Just like today, the $250 buy-in flights will be starting up at 11:30 AM and 4 PM, and will have registration and re-entry available for four hours in each of them.

In addition, we will be having our nightly juice-free single table satellite at 8 PM, where the top three players will all be taking home discounted seat to the $1,100 Cardplayer Tour Main Event.

Good luck everyone!

Just Two Tables Remain in the Morning Session

We are down to just 18 players now in the morning flight, and the light at the end of the tunnel is now visible. Once we lose seven more players in that session, we will be done for the night with that flight. Former WSOP Circuit ring winner here Sohale Khalili is one of the bigger stacks with 160,000, while Dana Kellstrom is on the opposite end, but he just secured a double up with pocket aces.

Other notables still alive and vying for one of those 11 Day 2 tickets are Gladys Landegger and Nathan Bjerno. Stay tuned to find out who make it through from this flight!

Time for a Break in the Afternoon Flight

We are two hours into play in the afternoon flight here in this $150,000 Guaranteed Event, which means the 56 players registered are taking a 15-minute break. Registration will remain open in this flight until 8 PM, so you have plenty of time to beat the rush hour traffic and come join us.

Remember that the top 12% will be cashing for $400 tonight, and moving on to Friday's finals!
