The second flight today was the biggest one of the event so far, as 124 players came out to play. The final 15 players will be earning a Day 2 ticket, as well as $400. Your last two chances to qualify through our $250 sessions are tomorrow at 11:30 AM and 4 PM!

Another First Come, First Serve Satellite Starts Shortly

We are nearing 8 PM here at the Big Poker Oktober, and you know what that means! We are about to start another first come, first serve single table satellite here at the Bike. The top three finishers of this $330 satellite will all be receiving a discounted seat for the $1,100 Main Event coming up in just two weeks!

Registration will close once we get to 10 players. Make sure you are one of them.

Messmer Bags Overall Chip Lead in Morning Flight

Aaron Messmer was already set to bring a big stack into the Day 2 finals when he got in a huge coin flip on the money bubble. He held Ace-King against his opponents pocket jacks, and Messmer took a permanent lead when the flop came down [Ks][3c][3s].

That pot put him at 376,000, good enough for the overall chip lead right now. Another big stack from this flight is another WSOP Circuit ring winner here, Sohale Khalili. He bagged up 246,000, and will also have one of the biggest stacks in the room on Friday.

Remember that the second flight today is still open until 8 PM, so you still have time to come down and enter there!

Khalili Gets Us to the Money Bubble

We are officially down to the final 13 players in the opening flight today, which means we are officially on the money bubble. We got there thanks to Sohale Khalili, who looks well on his way to double qualifying in this event. On this hand, the small blind limped in, only to see Khalili bump it up to 9,000. The small blind immediately slid the rest of her chips in, and after getting a count of 65,500,  Khalili made the call. His Ace-Jack was dominating his opponent's Ace-Deuce, and while she flopped a flush draw, it wouldn't come in.

Former WSOP Circuit High Roller winner here Aaron Messmer has the chip lead right now with about 250,000. Stay tuned to find out if he is able to hang onto that marker!

What's Coming Up: Final Day of $150,000 Guaranteed Qualifying

Tomorrow will be your final chance to qualify for the Day 2 finals of this event through one of our $250 Day 1 starting sessions. Just like the past few days, the flights will be starting up at 11:30 AM and 4 PM, and will have late registration available for four hours.

If you aren't able to earn a ticket to the finals through our Day 1 sessions, you will still be able to buy-in directly for $1,400. We will post all of the details about the Day 2 buy-in tomorrow, so be on the lookout for that post!

Second Flight Returning From It's First Break

The second starting session of the day is just now returning from its first break, and we have a nice turnout brewing, as 92 players are already entered.

Registration will be open until 8 PM tonight, so you still have time to come on two and join us. The buy-in tonight is just $250. Good luck everyone!

The eliminations are coming fast and furious in the opening flight today, as we are already down to the final 27 players now. The top 12 will be moving on to the Day 2 finals, so we still need to lose over half of the remaining field to get there.
